Obviously the relaxation aspect of the treatment can be appreciated to a great extent when treatment is being given to one by another but self treatment can also have a relaxing effect.
The fact that a treatment to the feet will take nearly an hour is a good thing as it means that there is a longer time to relax. Nowadays people feel so guilty just doing nothing so by being still for an hour whilst the feet are worked on is often a more acceptable reason for doing nothing and eliminates the guilt feelings which in turn can result in more tension.
Putting aside time to relax should certainly not make one feel guilty and in the long term could be a life-saver or extender.
